About ScoutMyBuilding

ScoutMyBuilding helps renters and anyone touring a home see what City records already say about a building — before they sign a lease or put down a deposit.

We pull open building-violation and 311 data and turn it into a short score and preview. The city publishes the records; we make them easier to read on a phone.

Chicago is first. The product is built so more cities can be added the same way: one search box, an instant preview, an optional paid full report.
